As part of its aim to provide professionals with a wide range of tools that improve productivity on site, Makita has a released a new 18V cement shear. The DJS800 LXT Brushless Cement Shear is a powerful, durable and lightweight tool designed to make cement board cutting quick and dust-free.
The DJS800 benefits from solid steel blades that cut clean, straight and contour lines in fibre cement sheets and boards with maximum cutting capacity of up to 13mm (1/2”). Weighing only 2.5kg, this tool is powered by Makita’s efficient 18V brushless motor to provide a powerful no load speed of 3,000spm.
The new model has been specially optimised for cutting cement board with a 360o rotatable swivel shear head with 12 adjustable positions to provide increased manoeuvrability for the user to comfortably work at different angles and orientate the tool into the best position possible. Moreover, it features an ergonomically designed handle with soft grip, variable speed control, as well as a Trigger lock button for comfortable operation during extending cutting.
Furthermore, the DJS800 comes with a tool hook and a built-in LED job light with afterglow function for improved visibility and convenience when working in low light or dark spaces.
