EJOT to announce SORMAT / LIEBIG takeover at RCI Show

EJOT UK will use its presence at the forthcoming RCI Show to officially announce the EJOT Group’s global acquisition of Finnish fixings manufacturer SORMAT, which also includes the LIEBIG range of branded products.

Founded in 1970, SORMAT is said to be Northern Europe’s leading manufacturer of fixing products that range from metal, nylon and chemical anchors, through to façade fixings and M & E products. The LIEBIG brand has reportedly earned recognition for manufacturing high-end heavy-load fixings that are specified in critical fixing applications such as nuclear power plants, rail, bridge and tunnel construction.

Chris Middleton, EJOT UK’s managing director, said: “The purchase of SORMAT to include LIEBIG was a natural step and the perfect fit for the EJOT Group worldwide. EJOT’s positioning as originators of fastening innovation, as far as the modern building envelope goes, has now been extended into new and expanding markets. Not only does the acquisition increase our product portfolio and anchoring technology, but also our knowledge pool worldwide.”

Both EJOT UK and SORMAT are two of seven manufacturers who are full members of the Construction Fixings Association in the UK.

The EJOT Group operates through 34 subsidiaries in 32 countries, with 15 manufacturing centres in ten countries. EJOT’s UK-based sales engineers will be manning Stand G4 at this year’s RCI Show.
