Always at the forefront of innovation and safety, Porsche has recently adopted a ‘non-combustible’ policy for the façades of its buildings. Not only does this provide the obvious safety benefits, but it also means that the dealerships pay much lower insurance premiums as a result of not using flammable materials in their building envelopes.
Having supplied numerous Porsche projects over the years, Architectural Profiles Limited (APL) says it is ideally-placed to supply its Alucobond Rainscreen panels for the distinctive curved façades to the showroom areas. APL also supplies the profiled cladding systems for the workshop areas in an exclusive smooth-coated Porsche signature colour
APL says it has promoted non-combustibility constructions for many years and has developed products and systems accordingly. With a full 25-year ‘full system’ warranty, it can come as a surprise to many designers to discover that this safer approach is also more economical than using flammable foam insulation-based systems.
Other companies that have specified APL façades include: Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Honda, Jaguar Land Rover, Lamborghini, Maserati, McLaren, Mercedes, MNI, Rolls Royce, Smart, Tesla, VAG Group, Vauxhall and Volvo.
