The recent RCI Show 2016 proved to be a successful event for roofing and cladding specialist Cembrit as it took the opportunity to showcase its range of fibre cement cladding and natural roofing slates. The Cembrit stand drew in a good number of visitors interested in colourful rainscreen cladding, versatile building boards and top of the range natural slates.
49 colour samples shown in a “pick and mix” display drew in the curious, supplemented by the imaginative use of ‘through coloured’ Cembonit cladding as a work top material combined with PB Flex building board forming a curved plinth on the counter front demonstrating what can be achieved with a little imagination.
The other main attraction on the Cembrit stand was the display of its natural slate range, which includes Glendyne, Duquesa, Contessa, Alpina and Montleon. Visitors were not only able to see first-hand why natural slate retains its popularity as a roof covering due to its aesthetic appeal, but they also had the opportunity to find out more about Cembrit’s dedicated natural slates division.
This development marks the beginning of a new phase in Cembrit’s commitment to natural slate, and ensures that the company offers UK specifiers and slaters with a greater choice of this top end material.
Cembrit also offers a high quality range of fibre cement slates, and this was recognised at the Show, as the team was presented with a renewed BBA (British Board of Agrément) certificate for its Jutland Slates range by Claire Curtis-Thomas, CEO of the BBA.
The renewed certification demonstrates that the slates can be specified with total confidence for efficient and long-term use.
