FGF Limited, a leading nationwide manufacturer and supplier of insulation, decorative cladding, façade systems, building boards, and fire protection products, is delighted to announce its involvement in the rebuilding of Bridgnorth Rugby Club. FGF was selected to provide James Hardie fibre cement façade cladding panels for this significant community project.
Bridgnorth Rugby Club, a community-run organisation, had outgrown its previous facilities, which were no longer suitable for its growing membership and the diverse range of activities it offered. The new facility, built with the support of the local community, provides a much-improved environment for everyone, including sports and hobby clubs. The clubhouse features modern amenities such as meeting rooms, a function suite, catering facilities, and a bar.
The rebuilding project, which cost £1.5 million, required a façade material that was both modern and contemporary, in keeping with the club’s vision. James Hardie fibre cement panels were the ideal choice, offering a durable and aesthetically pleasing solution. FGF’s ability to colour match the panels to the club’s specific colours – RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey and RAL 6017 Green – ensured a seamless integration with the overall design.
BFG Groundworks and Construction, the contractor responsible for installing the façade materials, praised FGF for its excellent service. FGF’s 5-stage quality control process guaranteed that the materials arrived on time, in full, and in perfect condition.
Steve Farrell, the Bridgnorth Facilities Manager who oversaw the project, expressed his satisfaction with the James Hardie panels: “James Hardie Cement Panels were specified by our architect as a modern contemporary product suitable for a sports facility, and the results are stunning. Despite facing several challenges, including flooding on three separate occasions, our contractor and suppliers worked tirelessly to create a community clubhouse we can be proud of.”
