Freefoam has responded to market demand and feedback from customers and added the popular sage green to its Double Shiplap cladding range. Already available in the weatherboard-style cladding, the natural, soft shade with grey undertones is said to be subtle yet stylish and suitable for any location, from rural countryside, coastal situations and urban city environments.
Marketing manager, Louise Sanderson, explained: “We’re seeing a high level of interest in our cladding range for a huge variety of projects. From newbuild developments, home renovation for extensions and dormers and also for caravans, lodges, home offices and summer houses. Colour is an important factor and we find that consumers are particularly attracted to more natural subtle shades. Adding sage green to the Double Shiplap range gives our trade customers more choice and the opportunity to open up new markets.”
The Double Shiplap and weatherboard cladding are part of the Fortex range. A high quality, PVC product that features an embossed wood effect texture in ten subtle, traditional and contemporary colours. With a wide range of matching fitting trims to create a neat professional co-ordinated finish the Fortex range is a popular choice for retrofit and newbuild projects.
According to Freefoam, PVC-U cladding requires minimal maintenance once installed, a major benefit for property owners and a compelling feature for any property developer or public sector housing provider. With significant environmental credentials, being awarded an A+ rating from the Building Research Establishment’s (BRE) ‘Green Guide To Specification’ when installed with standard components, the range makes a real alternative to timber and fibre cement products.
Colin St John, commercial director, commented: “We’ve seen a surge of interest in our entire cladding range with sales doubling last year. We’ve listened to feedback and by increasing the colour choice for our Double Shiplap boards, customers will have the opportunity to capitalise on the popularity of sage green.”
