Metal Technology products showcased

metal technologyA range of Metal Technology products have been installed at the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service’s (NIFRS) new community fire station and district headquarters in Omagh, Northern Ireland.

The station was designed by HLM Architects and represents the first in a series of new stations. The Omagh development is equipped with an incident command room that will be used during major incidents, or as a multi-agency facility when a co-ordinated response is required. The station will also be used for multi-agency resilience planning and emergency training exercises and has a dedicated transport and engineering workshop that is utilised by all 20 Fire Stations in Western Area Command.

Integral to the design brief, Metal Technology says its System 17 Latitude curtain walling system delivered a strong aesthetic appeal to the expansive all-glass fa‡ade that combines structural integrity with weather performance and thermal enhancement.

The company says interior comfort and environment management have also been enhanced by Metal Technology’s System 22 Brise Soleil and System 23 louvres.
