Roofdec opens a new branch in Manchester

After nearly 50 years of operating from one office in Rotherham, south Yorkshire, Roofdec is set to open a north west branch in Manchester.

Commenting on the new branch, John Barnes snr, managing director of Roofdec, said: “Whilst we carry out work throughout the UK, to date we have successfully managed our business from one office in Rotherham, and always felt it would dilute our ability to control operations if we changed this philosophy.

“History tells us however that year-on-year a good percentage of our £23 million turnover will be carried out in the north west, and we anticipate that this will continue for the foreseeable future with numerous large projects in the pipeline.

“Over the past few months, the way we have conducted our business has changed dramatically and video conferencing and working remotely will become the new norm.

“It therefore made sense for our north west staff to have an office base closer to home with both up to date communication facilities and storage for essential day to day site requirements.

“This will not only reduce travel costs but will also strengthen our corporate and social responsibility policy. We therefore felt that this step forward would enhance the service we provide our clients and give the business an even greater standing in this region.”
