Linden Homes has built properties in several prime locations throughout the UK. When it specified a flat roof for the new Greyfriars Quarter site in Gloucester, WJ Morley and Son proposed Wolfin’s Cosmofin for its strength and performance.
The new development of one, two, three and four bedroom homes on Brunswick Road, Gloucester, has been launched with first time buyers in mind. Linden Homes was determined to provide excellent quality homes to potential owners. With that in mind, roofing contractor WJ Morley and Son specified Wolfin’s products and purchased Cosmofin through the Swindon branch of Wolfin’s distribution partner Raven Roofing Supplies.
Cosmofin is created using a flexible PVC-P single ply roofing membrane to allow for excellent weathering. All Cosmofin membranes are reinforced and available with or without a fleece backing. Therefore the application can be altered for a variety of projects, for example those where the roof is mechanically fastened, adhered or loose laid and ballasted.
The flexibility offers unlimited freedom in design and due to being able to adapt to multiple strength requirements, the correct fastening can be chosen to ensure longevity. For this project, the fleece back option was used for the roof, whilst the podium deck was a raised garden over the car park that required waterproofing, so the non-fleece back was used.
Anthony Morley, from WJ Morley and Sons, said: “As a trusted installer of Cosmofin, we are extremely familiar with the product. We install it regularly because the flexibility of the system means it is a strong choice for both new build and retrofit projects. Our customer, Linden Homes, was focused on providing good quality homes and we felt confident that this product could help them achieve this.”
