Kingspan Light + Air has introduced a new vertical wall light solution – Kingspan UniQuad. The unitised translucent curtain walling system offers wide design flexibility in a single system which has been designed to easily integrate with other façade systems.

Kingspan UniQuad 120 offers a robust solution which can be much lighter than similar glass systems. It is made from double-skin, dense-cell polycarbonate units which provide excellent light transmission of up to 33% with and low U-values from 0.95 to 0.49 W/m2K. This allows UniQuad 120 to improve the experience of people inside while reducing construction costs and improving a building’s energy consumption.

The system can span long distances, with minimal visible substructure for a high-quality finish. It also benefits from Removable Skin Technology (RTS), which allows just the outer skin of the system to be removed and replaced, ensuring excellent performance and easy future renovation throughout the building’s lifecycle.

The solution has been popular in the USA, where it has been used on projects in sectors such as education, public sector, sport and leisure, offices, and even industrial buildings.

As with all Kingspan Light + Air solutions, Kingspan UniQuad 120 is supported by extensive technical services, ranging from daylighting design to ongoing service and maintenance.
