The Institute of Roofing (IoR) will announce upcoming changes in its first AGM since the appointment of its CEO, Kay Rose (FIoR), taking place at the National Gallery in London on 6 April.
The event will showcase new and diverse plans, with Kay Rose presenting an overview of where she thinks the IoR is currently, the challenges ahead and her vision for the future.
Attendees will also hear from the IoR’s recently appointed chair, Sarah Spink, about the Institute’s achievements and its future collaborations within the industry.
Caroline Gumble, CEO of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), will also be guest speaking about her Institute’s journey to reaching its 47,000 members worldwide, whilst providing insight into the IoR’s own goal of achieving chartered status.
In addition, the IoR will be thanking one of its and the roofing industry’s long-standing supporters by awarding an Honorary Fellowship, and the event will also crown the Institute’s latest ‘Student of the Year’.
Kay Rose commented: “My presentation on where the IoR is today, and the positive changes that need to be made might be a bit hard hitting at the AGM, but some things need to be addressed. Much like a beautiful piece of art – some of which we will be surrounded by on the day – a masterpiece does not happen overnight and we need to be realistic with the timeline of our future plans.”
