Construction industry analysts Barbour ABI have been awarded a second contract in the last 12 months from the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG).
Barbour ABI, who are also a chosen partner of the Cabinet Office and the Office for National Statistics, will be providing the DCLG with planning application and development pipeline data for both domestic and commercial projects across England, tracking their end-to-end development.
Simon Mahoney, group director at Barbour ABI, commented: “We are delighted to be expanding our working relationship with the DCLG after successfully providing them with a pipeline of starter homes project data since early 2016. For up to the next two years they will now be receiving our expert domestic and commercial planning application and development data.
“Planning application and development pipeline data is vital for understanding the range of applications and timing of the development stages. It is also key to assessing the impact of planning reforms and the development of new policy within construction.
“We are well positioned to work with the DCLG thanks to our long standing history in the construction sector and the excellent working relationships our in-house research team has with planning authorities and other relevant information providers. This gives us the ability to provide a high level of accuracy in our research.”
