The Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) has partnered with Full Power Utilities to launch its new service BMF Energy Plus to help its members reduce their energy costs as the cost-of-living soars.

BMF members will have access to a pool of suppliers, including some that do not sell directly to the end user, as well as a range of different procurement strategies to help them find the best possible contract for their usage.

Understanding how consumption patterns impact the price of energy is key factor in the process and the BMF has secured a number of exclusive benefits to help minimise costs. These include a free energy contract review to provide impartial advice on existing tariffs and identify any billing errors, and a kVA analysis report covering all ‘half hourly’ supply points to ensure allowances are optimally set for full utilisation.

A further aim is to develop a BMF Buying Basket to harness the collective buying power of the BMF membership to achieve more competitive rates.
