Roofing contractors and the 120 branches of SIG Roofing up and down the country have been combining their efforts to make the company’s search for Britain’s Best Cafe a success.
Since the campaign was launched in August, SIG Roofing’s customers have been encouraging their favourite cafes to sign up for the chance to win the title of Britain’s Best Cafe and a four-day trip to New York City.
Public voting has been taking place in SIG Roofing branches and online at www.britainsbestcafe.co.uk since September 5, with hundreds of cafes joining the competition.
SIG says that roofing contractors have been instrumental in the success of its campaign so far and public and media attention has been widespread, with local press and radio stations featuring participating cafes resulting in thousands of votes already being cast.
The competition is also being promoted in all SIG Roofing branches and in the cafes themselves, with more stunts planned, including flash mob performances to be staged in a major Midlands city and a Bacon Buttie ‘invasion’ of local radio stations.
Commenting on the campaign so far, Janine Brady, marketing manager at SIG Roofing, said: “We couldn’t have asked for a better response. Thanks to our customers and Roofzine readers – the cafes, our branches and the customers are having a lot of fun along the way.”
