CCF has strengthened its technical team with three new recruits in response to growing demand from construction professionals for technical support.

Andy Moores, Chris Roughneen, and Richard Gay, newly appointed as technical managers at CCF, have been tasked with providing technical support to the company’s customers across a variety of large and small building projects.

They will also act as a direct point of contact for CCF’s regional, national and branch sales teams. This support will help colleagues to answer technical queries and continuously improve knowledge across the business.

Andy joins the technical team from CCF’s regional sales team and has worked across both technical and sales roles at Kingspan Insulation. During his career, Andy has developed an in-depth knowledge of all structural elements and compliance, having delivered training to architects, main contractors, fire engineers, local authorities, and other building control professionals on building fabric and insulation considerations. His experience will be used to support the technical requirements of both north and central regions, with a particular focus on insulation growth.

Chris brings extensive construction product experience in technical and support roles, having worked across some of the best-known insulation manufacturers including Saint-Gobain Insulation UK, ISOVER and Knauf Insulation.

At CCF, he will apply his extensive knowledge, including his insight as a qualified Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) assessor and training to become Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) Level 2 qualified in passive fire protection, to assist teams and customers across the country.

Richard adds his experience spanning across manufacturers such as ROCKWOOL and building product distributors. He specialises in thermal, fire, and acoustic insulation products and systems, including façades and will use this knowledge to help provide U-value and condensation risk analysis calculations and ensure that our customers have the best value solution for their projects. Richard will be the first point of contact for customer and colleague technical enquiries across the south east and south west regions.

Jolyon Berg, head of technical at CCF, said: “Having the right people in place to support the increasing demand for building products and technical advice is vital. We know that demand is high, and with this in-mind, welcoming three new recruits to the CCF technical team is a well-timed and extremely important investment.”
