Cedral launches Select Professional initiative to raise standards for UK installers

Cedral has launched a new initiative to establish high service standards in the sector while helping to connect homeowners with the right installers.

Under the Cedral Select Professional initiative, trained installers who demonstrate a high level of skill, safety and a proven track record of customer care will receive marketing support, product training and installation tips.

Installers can either become either two levels of the scheme – Members or Partners, with Partners benefiting from pre-qualified quote requests from customers via an online portal and exclusive sales toolkits.

To become a Cedral Select Professional, an applicant must pass an initial installer assessment and then comprehensive product training is provided. A technical validation is then completed on a recent job site to confirm the applicant’s ability to install Cedral products.

Regular project evaluations are undertaken to maintain quality standards and give prospective customers continued confidence in the scheme and installers supportive advice on any areas of their service that may need attention.

Lisa Grosse, brand and customer journey manager at Cedral, said: “We’ve worked hard over recent months, talking to installers and customers alike about how we can improve the experience for all parties. While customers wanted confidence when appointing a reliable, knowledgeable and experience installer; roofing and cladding contractors expressed a need for even better marketing and technical support.

“We think with Cedral Select Professional, we’ve got that balance right, with more happy customers and profitable installers at the end of projects!

“The big idea behind Cedral Select Professional is that we handle the initial customer engagement and ballpark pricing, leaving the installer to do what they do best – provide detailed quotes and install the roof slates or cladding planks! So far, installers who have signed up love this new way of working and we think this will really take off in 2022.”
