Celotex shortlisted at 2016 CMAs

Celotex has announced that it has been shortlisted for the Construction Marketing Awards 2016 in the Emerging Talent and Best Big Budget Campaign categories.

The awards, supported by CIMCIG (the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Construction Industry Group), celebrate the success of marketing initiatives, teams and individuals in the construction industry.

Shortlisted for the Emerging Talent category is Dan Steed, whom joined the Celotex team in September 2014 as a business and marketing graduate, with the primary responsibility of supporting the technical team to develop social media in a new customer-focussed way.

The company says this was clearly demonstrated by a 207% increase in month-on-month referral traffic from social media to the website in the first 12 months of his appointment. He also implemented Celotex’s Twitter Technical Takeovers – in conjunction with the technical services team –, which demonstrate the strength of technical knowledge in the Celotex team and support the specification audience.

In addition, Celotex’s Flat is back campaign has been chosen for the Best Big Budget Campaign category. Delivering a mix of both on and offline marketing activity using all communications channels including website, advertising, social and email, the company says the campaign was more than just a product launch. The Flat is back campaign had one main objective: convincing the whole market that the Celotex flat roofing offering was back and ready to deliver on every level.

The company says the campaign was a re-launch, demonstrating the benefits of three new high-quality flat roofing products created as a result of comprehensive research into the needs of the flat roofing market. Delivery was through a communications campaign covering advertising, events, direct marketing, email, social and product related literature.

Lizzie Seaton, marketing manager at Celotex, commented: “We’re so pleased to have been shortlisted for these awards. Flat is back was a massively important campaign for us and to have it recognised at the CMAs is a great achievement for everyone involved. Dan is such an asset to the business and it’s great to see him get the credit he deserves for all of his hard work and commitment to our digital marketing.”

The winners will be revealed at the CMA Gala Dinner in London on December 1.
