Firestone Building Products says it has shown how much it values its customer relationships after inviting its commercial contractors to a race day at Newmarket, which was followed by a concert from Spandau Ballet.
The Firestone Commercial Contractors Race Day, which included two races sponsored by the company – the Firestone Building Products Handicap Stakes and the Firestone Handicap Stakes – welcomed contractors and their partners to watch from a private marquee. All the ladies were invited into the race enclosure prior to each Firestone race to help judge the best dressed horse and award the winning groom with a £75 prize.
After watching the Firestone Handicap Stakes from the grandstand, commercial manager John McMullan presented the trophy to James McCarthy, who represented the winning horse’s owners.
The group then attended the Spandau Ballet concert, where two of the delegates had the opportunity to meet the band and have their photograph taken with them before they went on stage.
Phil Redfearn of SBS Roofing, who attended the event, said: “Firestone always offers us excellent customer service and technical support but the race day and concert with an overnight stay really demonstrates their commitment to nurturing customer relationships.”
