A group of roofing contractors joined Firestone to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the company’s RubberGard EPDM roofing membrane and the 20th anniversary of its UltraPly TPO membrane.
The company invited the commercial roofing specialists to join it for a day of golf and celebrations at The Mere Golf Resort & Spa in Knutsford, Cheshire, to reward the loyalty and achievements of the guests.
The group of 21 commercial roofing contractors attended a presentation with an update about the company’s latest news and achievements before taking to the fairway to start the afternoon with a swing.
Experienced golfers amongst the group were treated to a round of golf on the prestigious golf course while Firestone provided those who were new to the game with lessons that included expert tuition on the driving range, the putting green and the chipping nets. The budding golfers then played in a competition to see who could put the skills they’d learnt into action.
The golfing afternoon was followed by a presentation dinner where guest EBL Group was presented with a plaque as a newly appointed Licensed Contractor and three contractors – UK Roof Solutions, Weatherfix FRS and Taylor Roofing – were all presented with Authorised Contractor certificates.
Firestone completed the celebration with awards for the best rounds of golf and the most improved players.

“Some of our contractors not only excel in the installation of Firestone roofing but also proved to be very competent on the golf course. We had a fun day that was clearly focused on communicating across both our internal team and our contractor partners.”
