Glidevale Protect has appointed Kelly Phipps to the new role of head of sales specification for fire rated solutions after the success of its fire rated range of wall breather membranes and sealing tapes.

The new role comes as Glidevale Protect continues to invest, develop and manufacture product solutions offering fire protection across low, medium and high-rise buildings.

Having worked with Glidevale Protect for more than 20 years since he joined as a technical sales representative in 2001, Kelly brings with him extensive industry knowledge and has helped countless customers navigate the product specification process over the last 24 years.

In his new role, Kelly will focus specifically on supporting specifiers by providing transparent and reliable technical information relating to fire safety and the performance benefits of Glidevale Protect’s fire rated membrane range.

In addition to his new responsibilities, Kelly is head of sales for the own brand business of Building Product Design, the parent company of Glidevale Protect.

Commenting on his new role, Kelly said: “I’m passionate about building relationships with our customers, supporting them with product solutions and helping them to create specifications that fit their individual project requirements. It’s an exciting time for Glidevale Protect’s FR product category and am looking forward to guiding our customers through their specifications.”

John Mellor, head of marketing for Glidevale Protect, added: “We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer support, and making sure our information is reliable and transparent which is critical to our fire rated membrane range. It’s safe to say that after nearly a quarter of a century with the business, Kelly’s product knowledge is second to none!”
