Hodgson and HS Butyl rewarded at the RCI Show

Hodgson Sealants and sister company HS Butyl enjoyed a busy RCI Show last month, securing a number of new business enquiries, whilst meeting a number of existing customers and liaising with the industry as a whole through the seminar programme.

Hodgson Sealants was promoting a number of products at the show including its latest hybrid HY-SPEC sealants and Seamseal BR. Manufactured in the UK, the rubber-based material is more robust long-term than traditional oil-based putties, and is backed with a guarantee of up to 25 years.

Meanwhile, HS Butyl came to the RCI Show to launch its new Foam Rod Insert, 0421 and Waterstop tape solutions, along with the existing GCA, Polyband, Fleeceband and Foilband products for the roofing sector, which were well received to show visitors.

As a business with a near 50-year history in the butyl tape manufacturing sector, the RCI Show was also an opportunity to present a business with roots firmly in UK manufacturing and product specification.

Martin Clubley, innovation director at HS Butyl, said: “Over the two days of the show, we had very positive discussions with a number of people about new opportunities, as well as long-term performance of butyl tapes within the building envelope. By having a stand with our sister company, Hodgson Sealants, we were able to share resources and information and showcase some examples of how our products can be used together in some applications.”

Charles Hodgson, managing director of Hodgson Sealants, added: “The show was great for both businesses and we feel it’s been a big success for us. Being visible at trade shows in our core markets is fundamental for us as we look to build on our heritage of British manufacturing, which is also reflected on the fact that we’re part of the Made in Britain initiative.”
