The firm will be holding its annual charity golf day on Friday, September 8, at Renishaw Park Golf Club.
Colleagues, professional partners and friends of Martin-Brooks will be taking part in the Stableford contest, which has become a mainstay of the firm’s fundraising efforts, raising around £2,000 each year for local charities.
Playing in teams of four, participants compete for a number of prizes including the longest drive and less prestigious “most honest golfer,” with winners announced at a post-round award presentation and two-course meal.
Dale Wright, Martin-Brooks’ contracts director and organiser of the golf day, said: “Our annual fundraiser is eagerly anticipated by all who take part and we are looking forward to welcoming the stalwarts, along with several new faces this year. The event is a great way to catch up with friends, have fun and raise much appreciated funds for the small charities we support across our home city.”
Martin-Brooks has pledged to raise £25,000 for Sheffield organisations, including Amy’s Retreat, Catcliffe MS Therapy Centre, Cavendish Cancer Care, Sheffield Talking News, St Vincent’s Furniture Scheme and The Rowan School.
Entry into the firm’s golf day is £55 a head or £200 per four ball team. Sponsors are also welcomed for holes and prizes. For more information or to make a donation, telephone Martin-Brooks on (0114) 244 7720 or email dale@allroofing.co.uk.
