Building envelope refurbishment specialist SPV Special Projects has joined the Metal Cladding & Roofing Manufacturers Association (MCRMA).
For the West Midlands based roofing and cladding contractor, which is a division of Phoenix Consortia alongside sister-companies Howard Evans and Ivor Parnham Building Services, joining the MCRMA was regarded as another important step to demonstrate its dedication to continuously improving technical standards relating to the building envelope.
Kate Whatley, commercial manager at SPV Special Projects, said: “We are delighted to have joined the MCRMA, which I believe has played an important role in helping the metal building envelope sector drive up standards for decades.
“We value their training, guidance and expertise as well as the opportunity to collaborate regularly with like-minded industry professionals at the MCRMA members’ meetings. Their online resources, such as the CPD-certified guidance documents, are already widely used by our team to help us maintain and develop our knowledge and deliver first class installations for our clients.
“Our membership with the MCRMA also affirms to our stakeholders including clients, supply chain and insurers our commitment to professional development, the highest levels of professionalism and collaboration across the industry.”
Clare Fenton, chair of the MCRMA, added: “It is fantastic to welcome Kate and her team at SPV Special Projects to our association. They bring a unique mix of technical expertise and experience from an installation perspective, focused on refurbishment, that I think all our members will benefit from. I look forward to the contribution that they will make.”
