National Timber Systems (NTS), the engineered wood products division of National Timber Group, has appointed Julian Elsbury to the newly created role of design director after being design manager since 2020, where he had led design teams across the business’ four manufacturing sites at Bristol, Sheffield, Newcastle and Northallerton.
Julian, with his 40 years’ experience in engineered wood products design, sales and management, will continue to bring consistency of approach to designs as well as ensuring that the NTS team has the necessary technical and commercial knowledge to provide the best experience for its wide range of customers.
He said: “I am very proud and honoured to be promoted to and entrusted with this key role within the NTS team. I’m looking forward to helping my colleagues steer NTS from strength to strength.
“I am fortunate to have a good team of designers around me and through continual advancement in training and skillset I believe we can grow the business to rank alongside those sitting at the ‘top table’ of our sector.”
Nick Kershaw, managing director of NTS, added: “Julian quickly established himself as head of the NTS design department when he joined us and I am delighted he is our first design director. I am confident that he will continue to improve the way we operate.
