Parker Building Supplies (Parkers) is celebrating the new year by announcing it has raised in excess of £150,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust.

For the last decade Parkers has supported the Teenage Cancer Trust. Fundraising initiatives included golf days, football tournaments, a dedicated fundraising week and even abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth.

Sue McKinney speaking on behalf of Parkers, said: “We’re delighted to announce that Parkers, along with Chandlers Building Supplies and Fairalls, will continue to play a significant part in helping Teenage Cancer Trust make sure no young person faces cancer alone.”

Helen Farquharson of Teenage Cancer Trust, added: “We are extremely grateful to the team at Parker Building Supplies for its incredible long-term support. The dedicated staff and customers have raised a phenomenal amount of money to support young people with cancer.

“Every £30 raised helps fund an hour of specialised nursing support for a young person having treatment for cancer, so the ongoing support of Parker Building Supplies and its partners Chandlers Building Supplies and Fairalls will continue to make a difference to people’s lives.”
