Paroc Panel System, a manufacturer of fire-proof panel systems used for external walls, partitioning walls and ceilings, has formally re-entered the UK construction market sector after an absence of more than ten years.
Whilst its products have been specified in the UK over the last ten years, Paroc Panel System’s decision to formally enter the UK, establishing UK sales presence, follows extensive research by the company into the UK’s market potential, as well as the UK construction sector’s growing interest in specifying high-quality, high performance sandwich panels.
Speaking about the decision, Tom Osterlund, Paroc, export manager at Paroc Panel System, said: “The 2008 global economic crisis, with its accompanying downturn in construction, reduced considerably the number of opportunities for us in the UK, but our research shows this is changing. Despite issues such as Brexit, the UK is a good place to do business, especially as the construction sector is more open to products whose performance, quality and durability, especially with regards to fire resistance, are increasingly being specified, and when backed by the technical expertise and construction knowledge of a company such as Paroc Panel System.”
Tom added: “We will be looking shortly to formally appoint a number of UK-based agents, as well as increasing the level of marketing support and the profile of Paroc Panel System’s products, and in particular, the company’s AST Quality approval standard that underpins its product proposition.”
