Pitched Roofing Awards 2020: The winners revealed!

The winners of the Pitched Roofing Awards 2020, presented by RCI magazine have been revealed during a virtual ceremony on Friday 26 February, which united hundreds of industry contacts across the roofing sector.

Contractors, manufacturers, suppliers, and industry figures gathered and used the capabilities of the event platform to exchange conversation and congratulate winners, as well as reach out to friends and colleagues after the event.

The Pitched Roofing Awards, which is now in its third year, serves to recognise and reward the important contribution this part of the roofing sector makes to deliver outstanding levels of workmanship, innovative products, and design across the industry.

From the creative use of products used on a project, to the complexity of the installation and the individuals who have demonstrated high quality across the industry, the Pitched Roofing Awards recognises these outstanding contributions through an extensive range of categories that span across the residential and commercial aspects of the sector.

Twelve champions and three highly commended were crowned at the ceremony, and the projects involved were recognised for their product and build quality, professionalism, and outstanding workmanship.

The entries were judged by a panel of independent industry experts, who had a tough task of pouring over the submissions to decide which entries had that extra special something and was worthy of an award.

Commenting on the Pitched Roofing Awards, Nichola Farrugia, editor of RCI, said: “Despite all the difficulties imposed by the pandemic over the past year, the Pitched Roofing Awards 2020 has proved to be a great success, bringing everyone together to celebrate everything that is great about our industry – the wonderful projects, the strong partnerships and the tenacious spirit which connects us all.

“The finalists and winners reflect the growing resilience, diversity and skills of the pitched roofing sector, which through the submissions we received, have demonstrated some outstanding designs. Congratulations to every finalist and winner – you and your teams have demonstrated excellence to reach this stage, and while not everyone was able to win a trophy, you should all be proud of your achievements. Thank you for sharing your projects with us.”

A huge thank you goes to our fantastic sponsors, which include BMI Redland, Forticrete, Northstone, PREFA, Wienerberger, Associated Lead Mills, Sahtas and SSQ Group. We’re extremely grateful for your continued support.
