Solar energy company PROINSO has signed a sponsorship deal with the Indian Rugby Football Union (IRFU).
The sponsorship deal with PROINSO will support the IRFU in its efforts to grow the game and spread awareness of the development programme that promotes the sport at the grassroots level with engagement across schools, colleges and the wider community.
Mark Randall, CEO of PROINSO, commented: “PROINSO has been operating in India since 2010 and this is further evidence of our long term commitment to the country. We are very pleased to be aligned with the IRFU as rugby has almost no hurdles to entry, allowing social and cultural barriers to be bridged as people share the enduring values of the sport.”
Nasser Hussain, general manager of the IRFU, added: “We wish to thank PROINSO for their support towards the development of the sport in India. Having been powered by PROINSO, it is our endeavour to raise the profile of Rugby in the country and spread the values of the sport by reaching out to maximum participants.”
