One of Ireland’s leading independent roofing suppliers, Quality Building Materials (QBM), has trained more than 70 roofers in Ireland at its purpose-built facility in Baldoyle since January 2019, demonstrating its commitment to upskilling the roofing industry.
Director, David Fitzpatrick, commented: “QBM are fully committed to improving the standard within the roofing industry in Ireland. Our one-day intensive courses are an opportunity for roofers at all levels to gain a competitive advantage in the installation applications and technical advantages of our materials.”
The Dublin 13-based roofing supplier has committed to an ongoing training strategy to ensure it continues to promote the skill of roofing within the construction industry and to upskill those already in the trade.
QBM says it has strategically aligned itself with some of Europe’s leading roofing materials manufacturers to deliver the latest FM and BBA approved products and accessories to the roofing industry. David added: “It is imperative that not only are the large contractors familiar with our products but that the guys who are on-site laying and fitting the systems are familiar with how it works and the benefits associated with its use.”
In order to achieve this outcome, QBM works closely with Ireland’s roofing contractors to deliver in- house training on products including Firestone, FDT and UltraFlex.
