Sika’s UK Roofing Division has renewed four product sets under the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI).
Hotmelt Structural Waterproofing, Liquid Applied Roofing, Reinforced Bitumen Membrane and Single Ply Roofing Systems were reassessed to confirm that Sika Roofing continues to meet the Code’s requirements for providing product information integrity. The product sets have carried the CCPI mark since 2023.
The independent review examined how Sika’s product information is created, controlled, maintained and presented to their internal and external stakeholders. Documented processes for product information creation, applying clear and accurate wording, with full version control and providing traceable evidence for performance data and certifications were used to support the renewal.
Gavin White, head of product management for roofing, said: “The CCPI is an ongoing commitment to responsible communication. At Sika Roofing we have robust processes to ensure our product information is accurate, regularly reviewed and accessible. This helps our customers and partners make informed decisions based on reliable data. The Code supports the industry’s move toward greater clarity and accountability, and we are pleased to continue meeting its requirements.”
According to a statement, the CCPI was created to promote an urgent and positive culture and behaviour change in the way the construction product manufacturing industry manages and provides information and marketing on their products. The CCPI was initiated by the Construction Product Association (CPA) as a direct response to Dame Judith Hackitt’s review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety set up in the wake of the Grenfell Tower tragedy.
