Construction material supplier SIG is busy preparing to host SIG LIVE, a virtual conference and update for its customers, which is due to be held on Thursday 16 July, 2020.
The live video conference, which will be sponsored by Recticel, will be hosted by the company’s new managing director Philip Johns, alongside a well-known TV presenter and journalist. The event will begin with an update from chief executive officer of SIG Group, Steve Francis, outlining the recent equity release and the new business strategy.
During the event, they’ll be introducing the new SIG UK management team, providing the latest investment update, including a fly-through of its new state of the art SIG Distribution warehouse in Heathrow and discussing current market issues. There’ll be breakout groups for different sector customers and the senior leadership team will be on hand to answer any questions.
Speaking about the event, which is scheduled to run from 1.30pm, Steve Francis said: “I am delighted to be introducing SIG LIVE. It’s an exciting time for SIG. After having embarked upon our customer-centric strategy, focused on proximity, expertise and service, we are looking forward to resuming real and active industry leadership again. Keeping close to our customers is our priority, so that we can supply and serve them to the highest standards, and partner with them to protect and develop their brands and products. This event will provide a great forum at what is a pivotal time for the industry, and I’ll look forward to opening the discussion, sharing our progress, and meeting many of our existing and new customers.”
Philip Johns added: “SIG will be a very different business coming out of COVID-19 and SIG LIVE is a perfect forum for us to explain the investment we have put in place, and the changes that allow us to service our customers better. SIG LIVE will allow all of our customers to log in to the virtual event from the comfort of their office or home and join the discussion, a truly interactive experience that I hope we can encourage all to sign up for.”
Since his appointment in April this year, Philip has been keen to put the customer at the heart of any business decisions which began with the re-opening of sites across the SIG network following the COVID-19 pandemic. With investment in hubs across the UK, the company can offer an unrivalled stock holding of specialist construction products.
