STENI UK is celebrating its 50th year in business as a specialist manufacturer of cladding systems.
The company began in Norway in 1965 after Asbj›rn R›nning founded the company’s lightweight and low maintenance reinforced polymer composite panels, which use a patented production method.
According the STENI, the panels quickly gained media attention and interest from the construction industry due to their particularly high impact, water and weather resistance. This interest spread beyond Norway’s borders and STENI expanded rapidly, establishing companies in Europe and the USA.
STENI also added to its Nature range in 1996 with STENI Colour Panels. These feature a smooth, electron-beam-cured acrylic surface and are available cut to size in the factory.
Today, the company is owned by the Swedish firm Accent Equity Partners and offers panels for external rainscreen and internal applications with a variety of surfaces. STENI products are sold across the world with a 40-year warranty from dedicated sales companies in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, the Benelux and the UK. It employs around 130 staff and has delivered more than 48 million square metres of fa‡ade and construction panels for buildings virtually all over the world.
STENI plans to continue to grow across various markets, with a new strategic direction giving clear emphasis on design and lasting architectural expressions. A new profile and logo will be launched to coincide with the company’s anniversary to further reinforce its new strategic direction.
