Stephens Roofing increases reach with new investment

Stephens RoofingStephens Roofing has invested in two vehicle-mounted boom lifts in an effort to add to its service and improve response times.

The specialist roofing contractor has taken delivery of two Isoli PNT 210J booms mounted on 4.5t Nissan Cabstar chassis cabs. The company will now use the vehicles for emergency call-outs and planned maintenance at commercial and retail properties.

Dave Stephens, managing director of Stephens Roofing, said: “Our customers feel assured that we have our own access vehicles as they know we can achieve faster response times – we never have to wait around for machines from a hire company. The vehicles are an essential part of our business framework; an investment in customer confidence that also provides safe roof access for our technicians.”

The Isoli PNT 210J is an articulated boom with a jib and 360˚ turret rotation, providing up to 20.6m of working height and 9.7m of horizontal outreach. Its ?H’ style outriggers can be deployed in line with the vehicle, for working in confined spaces, or extended for maximum outreach. The dual-pantograph boom design ensures that boom does not project into the path of passing traffic when working at lower heights. The platform has a safe working load of 200kg throughout the working envelope as well as plus and minus 90˚ cage rotation.

Mr. Stephens added: “The reach capability on the PNT 210J is second to none. We chose the 4.5t Cabstar as it gives us the payload to carry all the tools and equipment we need and the cab is more spacious.”

Based in Walsall in the West Midlands, Stephens Roofing provides a nationwide commercial roofing and maintenance service, including 24/7 emergency callout, planned maintenance, roof surveys, skylight replacement and gutter relining. It is also an approved KeeLine fall arrest system installer and an Altius assured vendor.
