Russell Roof Tiles is saying goodbye to a supervisor at its Burton on Trent site who has served 50 years with the company.
Paul Dennis, 68, is set to retire from the tile manufacturer since starting back in 1972, before it was acquired by Russell Building Products Ltd, and has since worked his way up to a supervisor role, where he has managed a small team of eight.
To celebrate his 50 years of service and to mark his retirement, Russell Roof Tiles presented Paul with a special award to honour his hard work and dedication over the years, along with a £200 voucher and a vintage electric guitar, which the team chose due to Paul’s passion for the instrument.
Andrew Hayward, managing director at Russell Roof Tiles, said: “Paul has always been a valuable and high performing member of the team. He’s part of the furniture and will be greatly missed by all of us, especially those who work the night shifts with him. He’ll be missed by the company, but he is ready to pass on the baton to his replacement for the role, Anatolijs, who is now ready to take on the challenge.”
