A recent fundraising event has seen Danosa sales director Steve Downey raise a total of £1,500 for Myaware – Fighting Myasthenia Together, smashing his initial target of £500.
Mr Downey completed the 5k run in aid of the charity that raises money for those suffering from Myasthenia Gravis – a neuromuscular disease that leads to fluctuating muscle weakness and fatigue.
He said that for anyone not affected by this condition, a 5k fun run should be fairly straight forward, however for those that are affected, this is almost impossible.
Having taken place on December 4, Steve ran along Eastbourne seafront with around 400 other participants, all dressed in festive outfits. Steve finished in a commendable 7th place in less than 21 minutes.
