Training at the top

Proteus Waterproofing has been named as a Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer in recognition of the ongoing support it continues to offer young people who want to break into the industry.

The Centrica Top 100 list is compiled annually by the National Apprenticeship Service and recognises excellence in businesses that employ and train young people.

Proteus currently employs two apprentices at its offices in Rayleigh, Essex. Two previous apprentices have progressed to being permanent members of staff, having successfully completed their training with the company.

Rozalind Richardson, office manager for Proteus Waterproofing, said: “This is a fabulous achievement, we are delighted and proud to have been recognised which further underlines the value and the contribution of our apprentices and the training we offer.”

Proteus says its apprentices work hard to achieve a vocational qualification that stands them in good stead for their future, whilst at the same time being provided with a raft of training and developmental opportunities within an office environment in the construction industry.

Rozalind added: “Our company ethos is to take the raw talent and enthusiasm of young people who have a desire to succeed and through the apprenticeship programme, guide and nurture them. This helps develop their skills and shape their careers, whilst supporting the growth and future success of the business.”
