Victoria Fiddies, regional sales manager at Catnic, has been elected chair of the Builders Merchants Federation’s Young Merchants Group.
With membership open to merchants and suppliers between the ages of 21 and 40, the BMF Young Merchants Group provides a platform for younger members of the building supplies industry to discuss and exchange ideas.
Victoria, who previously held the role of vice chair, takes over from Jamie Pierce at Parker Building Supplies, who has just completed his two-year term.
Glenn Paddison, branch director at MKM Building Supplies, has been appointed vice chair.
Ms Fiddies commented: “I am incredibly proud to have been elected chair of the BMF’s Young Merchants Group.
“Inspiring the younger generation who are embarking on their career paths is essential to help retain and develop skills and knowledge within our sector. As such, at our annual events I feel it is important to champion and highlight success stories from within our industry and the wider community for members to learn from and emulate.”
