Langley has appointed Livia Williams to the role of operations and group development manager where she will work closely with group training manager, Mark Dunn, on continuous development of the group’s skills and training strategy for the roofing sector. While Livia will be concentrating on the progression of Langley’s development plan, Mark will be focused on implementing the training, particularly for technical installation and product management, whilst growing Langley’s Basic Competency Programme (BCP) offering for contractors.
Already well known in the roofing industry, Livia has previously held a number of key strategic roles throughout her career, and brings vast experience to the Langley Group companies. Most recently she served as head of skills and training at the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC), in addition to holding the roles of finance director and vice chairman at the Institute of Roofing. Prior to these posts, Livia worked for three years as the director and co-owner of East Midlands Roofing College.
Tony Silvestri, group managing director, commented: “Livia’s appointment is an exciting development for Langley and highlights our commitment to ongoing investment in strong leadership, an effective organisational structure, and added value depth. With her experience and knowledge of the roofing industry, we can continue to provide the level of training and support that our contractor network requires.”
