Online roofing merchant Roofing Megastore has appointed John Carter as head buyer.
John brings valuable experience from within the construction sector and will play a central role in growing Roofing Megastore’s market share. He’ll also be responsible for strengthening relationships with existing suppliers and welcoming new partners onboard, with the aim of maximising profitability, whilst ensuring customers enjoy the best experience.
Prior to joining Roofing Megastore, John was responsible for implementing a robust global supply chain at the Kier Group. This included the successful development and implementation of a supply chain management solution, taking into account procurement, logistics and order fulfilment. John has also held roles at the Shepherd Construction Group and the Alumasc Group throughout his extensive career.
“Over the past three years, Roofing Megastore has achieved rapid customer and revenue growth, which has been made possible by our partnership with reputable suppliers such as Velux, Marley and Clear Amber,” said John.
“To ensure this growth can continue, the brand must expand our existing range of products, whilst streamlining the distribution process to ultimately allow for greater profitability and enhance the customer experience throughout all product categories.”
Roofing Megastore recently revealed plans to launch a further ecommerce website and a unique service that it believes will transform the marketplace. John’s appointment signifies the brand’s continued investment into building partnerships within the sector with the aim of bettering customer experience in a marketplace that has lacked innovation in recent years.
