Russell Roof Tiles has expanded its technical team to support growth in the business, as the construction industry bounces back.
Tom Woodhouse has joined the roof tile manufacturer as an additional technical manager at its Burton headquarters.
Joining Russell Roof Tiles with almost 15 years’ experience, Tom has experience from both the manufacturing and contractor perspective – with previous roles at Marley Roof Tiles and Bracknell Roofing.
Tom’s main responsibility will be applying technical excellence to all levels of the business, from providing support for housebuilders, specifiers, planners and contractors, to developing new products and procedures.
His previous experience provides a unique insight between manufacturing and installation, and the importance and benefits of clear concise communication and attention to detail at every stage.
Commenting on his new role, Tom said: “Providing a professional resource to assist clients is a major part of my drive to success, which I hope to bring to Russell Roof Tiles and compliment the skills and years of experience that already exist in the technical team.
“I was really pleased to find a culture of forward and progressive thinking with Russell Roof Tiles and that the company is ambitious to continue to grow in the marketplace. Many companies are struggling with uncertainty in planning their way out of the pandemic, however the strong leadership here delivers calm assurance throughout the business. I do feel the confidence here and have a lot of faith in the future.”
Mark Parsons, technical director at Russell Roof Tiles, added: “COVID-19 has most certainly had a large impact on businesses across all sectors, but as production levels resume to pre-COVID levels at Russell Roof Tiles, it is important that at times like these, the business grows with the rising demand.
“Tom is unique in the fact that he has experience both from the manufacturing and contractor perspective at highly recognised businesses and he will be a great asset to the technical team. We are pleased to welcome someone with Tom’s attitude and expertise to the business.”
