Southern Sheeting expands its workforce

Southern Sheeting has recruited new team members to support the business’ growth and meet growing demand, increasing its workforce by 20%.

These include yard and warehouse operatives, a logistics planner, delivery drivers and sales advisors, who have all joined the building materials supplier in East Grinstead, West Sussex.

Logistics planner Sarah London has joined from a national parcel delivery service, where she was responsible for coordinating 30 drivers, delivering 2,500 parcels a day. She will organise Southern Sheeting’s deliveries for the nine-strong fleet, and brings exceptional geographical knowledge and logistics skills to her new role.

Experienced HGV driver Rob Holland has been hired as a delivery driver, having previously worked for a removals business. John Ritchie has been moved from a temporary to a permanent contract as a delivery driver.

The sales team has also expanded, with the arrival of sales advisors Alex Trill and James Lucas, who brings experience from a national tools and fixings distributor.

While Toby Herbert, Jake Norman, Sam Clingo, Michael Wilson, David Weeding and Ellis Evento have joined as yard and warehouse operatives.

The team has also welcomed Rob Cooper to the IT department to support the business, as well as Jo Morfield as e-commerce manager.
