The Global Solar Council (GSC) has selected Jodie Roussell to be the council’s new chief executive officer.
Jodie Roussell said: “I am honoured to have been elected as the Global Solar Council’s next CEO. It is a privilege to be part of an organization dedicated to building the global solar industry’s markets, developing innovative skills training and doing its part to enable solar energy to serve as a transformational tool for healthy and sustainable communities.”
Roussell has an impressive résumé and prior to her current role as head of public affairs for Trina Solar in Europe, Africa & Latin America, Roussell was co-founder of the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) and the European campaign for the Alliance for Affordable Solar Energy (AFASE). She also served as head of energy utilities & technology at the World Economic Forum and led Strategy & corporate development at JA Solar.
