We have been listening to our customers and have transformed how we package our Ravatherm XPS X range of products after studying how our customers were handling them. These changes to the packaging make it simpler to unload deliveries and break them down into smaller sizes for handling on-site.

The new packaging places the Ravatherm XPS X products into 15 m3 bulk units, each containing eight pre-wrapped units, all bound with a thick outer wrap for protection during transportation. Once the unit is offloaded from the flatbed truck using a fork lift, it can be easily divided into two units by slitting the outer layer horizontally along the mid-point bearers, which have been placed so that the top one can be lifted off and set down. Each unit can then be separated vertically until there are eight packs, ready for handling with a forklift truck.

We have made significant investment in a new packaging line at our manufacturing centre in King’s Lynn, demonstrating our commitment to our customers and our willingness to react to feedback. The ability to listen is an essential component of good customer relations and we have been in discussions for some time about the best way to reconfigure our packaging. I was delighted that Ravago installed the new packaging equipment so quickly after acquiring Dow Building Solution’s European XPS business in December 2018, demonstrating the company’s commitment to providing high quality services as well as products.

Ravago Building Solutions, the extruded polystyrene insulation (XPS) manufacturer, relaunched its range of XPS in November 2019. Ravatherm XPS X is the new name for the UK’s best-performing range of grey boards for roofs and floors, all with exceptional lambda values.
