The first phase of construction of 448 homes at the former Chelsea Barracks includes 123 homes designated as ‘affordable’. Eight years after being sold by the Ministry of Defence for almost £1bn, the development, which was designed by architects Squire and Partners, consists of three blocks of up to eight storeys. Klober Trapac Tile and Snow Guards were used on the ‘super-prime’ 13-acre site as an ‘easy-to-fit’ means of preventing tile fragments, snow or débris from falling to the ground. Suitable for installation with flat or profiled concrete interlocking tiles, support brackets are linked using grid connectors and need no support batten.
