Back in 1998, when AJW launched with Alan Woods as managing director, yardman, salesman and accountant, it predominately sold industrial roofing products to farmers and industrial contractors.
However, over the last 23 years, the business has grown to include all areas of roofing such as pitched roofing, flat roofing and any accessory you might need for a roof, leading to AJW slowly developing its sheeting and cladding department, which has resulted in the launch of its new ‘Sheeting and Cladding Division’.
AJW has a solid and expert team for the division, who between them have over 100 years’ experience supplying roofing and cladding materials. Clair Bond has been with AJW for over 10 years and recently moved from being the branch manager of the Chatteris depot, to now manage the new team. Next, there is Ted Carolan who has worked at AJW for 17 years and has a keen eye for details on roofing projects. Then there is Mark Maclean, who is the contact for AJW’s Leicester office. Mark joined AJW back in 2018 and has since been an asset to the team since he joined. Charmaine also joins the team as the department’s administrator, supporting the team with her admin skills daily.
The team is managed by Gareth Woods, the commercial director for AJW Distribution Group. He has taken on this role as his knowledge in the roofing world lies within sheeting and cladding and with 22 years’ experience, he understands how to support this new department.

AJW has access to a huge range of suppliers including Kingspan, Equitone and Tata to name a few and is constantly meeting new suppliers to be able to offer our customers a diverse portfolio of products which it can supply. The company can supply numerous metal fabrications including Galv, Aluminum and PVC, but can also offer a bespoke service to support your needs.
