Powedertech (Corby) has delivered several batches of powder coated rainscreen cladding panels to a new leisure and entertainment development in Northwich.
The œ12.5m Memorial Court required a 25-year guarantee for the powder coating on its external fa‡ade. Powdertech (Corby) was chosen to meet this level of specification using high performance, quality pre-treatment and powder coating material.
Richard Besant, sales and marketing manager for Powdertech (Corby), said:
“The design for the aluminium rainscreen cladding is key to the look and feel of the building. A number of different colour variations were considered before the client selected an Axalta powder, RAL 6034 with 30% gloss level. The panels are set at angles on the building, with varying projection distances that creates an impressive effect.
“We coated many batches of panels of varying sizes and colour consistency between batches was essential. With powder coating one can be confident in colour consistency.”
Around 5,000m2 of pre-coated panels were supplied to the project, which sits alongside the River Dane and includes a 25m swimming pool, a gym and spa, theatre and conference centre, cafes and bars.
Powdertech (Corby) says enhancing the overall design of a project with a long lasting powder coated finish creates a unique and memorable impact.
