BTS Facades and Fabrications is setting new standards after its Vantage MF rainscreen cladding system passed rigorous system tests.
Originally launched in 2015, the range is a fully drained and back-ventilated open jointed rainscreen cladding system, which is mechanically face fixed to the substructure.
Vantage MF has been launched in conjunction with BTS’ supply chain partner SFS using the company’s NVELOPE rainscreen subframe systems.
The system, including a range of 3mm thick stiffened and unstiffened aluminium panels, recently underwent CWCT Standard Test Methods for Building Envelopes, passing all elements. It was assessed for wind and impact resistance, along with watertightness, and has been relaunched and is now available on the market.
Mark Wiper, associate technical director at BTS, said: “Compliance with CWCT test requirements is generally accepted to be a pre-requisite for any specified external façade system.
“This process further builds on and strengthens the relationship between BTS and SFS, as the system relies on a specified sub-frame and associated fixings.
“It is also testament to SFS’ own ongoing commitment to large-scale testing.”
Vantage MF is available in a wide range of panel sizes and finishes, and is lightweight and easy to install. It is mechanically fixed, eliminating the need for adhesives, and panels can be independently replaced.
Mark added: “Due to the flexibility of design choices and simplicity of installation, the Vantage MF system is equally suitable for low cost, refurbishment works as it is for newbuilds.
“Demonstration of compliance to this series of test standards allows us to promote the Vantage MF system to a wider and more demanding audience of specifiers.
“These activities reaffirm BTS’ commitment to invest in large scale full system testing, and forms part of an ambitious program of further testing to be carried out throughout 2021.”
