It’s finally here! The first day of the RCI Show 2016 has almost come to an end and it’s already been a huge success. We’ve had visitors from all over the UK and further afield, and they’ve been the first to see new product launches; listen to interesting seminars and RIBA-approved CPDs; interact with the demo zones and take part in our lively debate on cutting out call-backs!
As Aman Chahal of TaperedPlus said: “It’s a perfect show, exactly what we’re looking for. We go to other exhibitions but none are as specialist and industry-specific as the RCI Show.
“We’re here for the exhibitors, and the unique bonus of the RCI Show is having them all in one place.”
Below are just a handful of the many highlights from today including Celotex’s launch of its brand new flat roofing solutions; SIG’s live demonstrations of its various solutions; Rockwool’s Sound Tunnel and Jablite’s innovative Cube Experience.
The seminars have also been extremely popular and former NFRC-chief executive Ray Horwood chaired a panel including Keith Roberts of Roberts Consulting; Gary Wilburn of HPW and Nicola Wheatley of Derbyshire Construction Skills College in a lively debate on the issue of reducing call-backs to site.
But if you missed today’s events, the good news is that we’re doing it all again tomorrow! The RCI Show opens from 9am-5pm and you can see 150 exhibitors all promoting the best in new and established products and systems for the Roofing, cladding and insulation sectors, plus we’ve got a full seminar and RIBA-approved CPD programme running throughout the event. Don’t miss our second live debate where Ray and the team will be discussing the issues surrounding product substitution!
Look out for a full review of the show in next week’s Roofzine and in the February issue of RCI.
