Celebrations as Weatherseal Façades lands two INCA awards

Rugby-based Weatherseal Façades is celebrating after picking up two accolades at an industry awards ceremony.

The family-run business picked up awards in both the New Build and Judges’ Choice categories at the 2019 Insulated Render and Cladding Association (INCA) Awards Evening which was held recently in Birmingham.

Hosted this year by top comedian Hal Cruttenden, the annual INCA Awards brings together the UK’s leading names in the external wall insulation (EWI) industry to commend their achievements of the past year, as well as celebrate innovation and excellence.

Together with system provider Dryvit UK, Weatherseal were crowned winners in the New Build category following the two company’s new build project at Shipston High School, Warwickshire. Those efforts were also recognised in the INCA’s Judge’s Choice Award category in which Weatherseal and Dryvit were crowned the award’s inaugural winners. The three judges were particularly complimentary in their summary stating that the project deserved special recognition for its unique distinctive appearance.

Speaking about receiving the awards, Weatherseal’s managing director Malcolm Smith said: “This was a challenging project where we were pleased to construct the entire façade including lightweight steel frame and all the external finishes including insulated render, brick slips and the eye catching rainscreen, trims and features.”

The awards success has added significance for Weatherseal given this was the first time the company had entered these awards and have celebrated their fifth year of trading in June 2019.

Malcolm added: “We have expanded each year and now have a team that are undertaking a variety of projects from £20k up to £2m in value.”
