A team of nine men from Covers Timber & Builders Merchants has raised £910 for charity following their participation in Movember.
Lee Webb, Sean Taylor, Derek Baldwin, Dean Kidd, Shaun Hopgood, Stuart Spiers, George Crouch, Jamie Dent and Chris Collard, who all work at Covers Gosport, raised £455 after spending the month growing moutstaches in support of the cause. As part of Covers’ match donation scheme, the company doubled the amount taking the final total to £910. The nationally recognised charity campaign helps to raise funds for men suffering from prostrate cancer and testicular cancer as well those experiencing mental health conditions and helping to support suicide prevention initiatives. Chris Collard, depot manager of Covers Gosport, said: “We are proud to have supported this initiative and helped raise awareness of men’s health issues. It’s really important to continue to spread the word and ensure that men and their families are getting the help they need. Congratulations to the team for raising so much money for such a worthy cause and a huge thanks to Covers for doubling the amount.” |
